Another great Memory Loss event!
Last night we had our third Memory Loss event... it was a great do! King Kayak played an acoustic set as a last minute replacement for The Loungs, who dropped out at the last minute, then we played and finally Nice Peter (Chicago) who we've played with a few times now, and he put on an awesome show, once again singing about what he sees, with a guest performance by some photographs. I ended up jumping up and accompanying him on drums for his final number, 'If you really love me'. Will upload video diary asap.

The Jaraf House Sessions Episode I
Here is the latest video diary; following the recording of our first single at The Jaraf House studios in Wigan. Hope you enjoy the new opening credits :)

Busy week!
It's been really busy for the four Jelly's recently. Last Sunday we had the second Jelly's clubnight, Memory Loss, at Matt and Phreds. For this we got our old friends The Uncomfortables and new friends King Kayak to play with us, and it was a great night; not quite as busy as the first but we still had a belting atmosphere! Here's the video diary:
The next one is on October 30th, and will feature The Loungs and Nice Peter. Do not miss it, I've a feeling it's going to be quite a busy do! tickets will be on sale very shortly.
We've been in The Jaraf House recording studio all week, putting two tracks down with a tentative release date of February 2009. Wednesday we recorded the drums and guide tracks, and Thursday was spent recording bass guitar and vocals. On Friday we took the recording gear to Matt and Phreds to record the grand piano parts for the tracks. They sound immense.
Whilst we were in town, we nipped to Jeffrey West shoe shop to choose our shoes (see the previous blog entry / video diary). I got these bad boys:
They're the most comfortables shoes I've ever worn! (and I'm not contractually obliged to say that...)
On Saturday we had an afternoon gig at Preston's Flag Market, for the launch of Preston FM, the community radio station. It was cold and wet, but we still managed to stop a few Saturday afternoon shoppers who watched our set! This gig was a lot better than we thought, and a lot better than it looks on this video diary:
Sunday we were back in the studio working on the tracks, which we're going to finish sometime in the next couple of weeks. I can't wait to get them finished and out there!
I'll put together a video diary of our studio experiences in the next week or so.
In the meantime we're all about Memory Loss, the next one's going to be ace and I urge you all to get tickets!
