53 Degrees and the Library

Not really reported much on the last two gigs, which is a shame because they were both stonkers!
On Feb 19th we played at 53 Degrees; it was DIY @ Promo in the club, and though we've played before this was our first headlining slot at 53. Was an awesome night.
One of the kids I teach drums to is called Ant, and he finally got to see us play on the 19th; though he couldn't come to the gig (he's only 13) I managed to get him in for the soundcheck. It made his day, and he brought me some cookies he'd made with his sister. Need to organise some all-ages gigs for us.
Ian Phillip Smith was there on photography duties, and took some amazing shots of us. Think some of these would even work well as album covers!

Then on Tuesday this week I got a phonecall from my sister saying she'd just spoken to the guys behind 'Get It Loud In Libraries' at Lancaster Library, and told me the support band for Everything Everything had pulled out for a gig on Wednesday; were Jelly's Last Jam available to replace them? Hell yes! We did the gig and what a strange and wonderful gig it was. Met Stewart the promoter, and he's such a nice chap; really got on well with him. All the staff were great actually, and agreed to sell our merch for us!
Everything Everything were awesome. Listen to their track 'Photoshop Handsome' on their myspace, it's ace. Nice guys too.
