Our Debut Single - Press Release

ALIBI - THE DEBUT SINGLE FROM JELLY'S LAST JAM

16th March 2009 sees the independent digital release of Alibi, the debut single from Jelly's Last Jam. Produced by John Kettle (The Marble Index and Aiden Smith), and mastered by Mike Cave (Elvis Costello and The Charlatans), this gutsy indie ballad combines atmospheric piano, thumping drums and epic, sweeping vocals to create an uplifting pop anthem.

Jelly's Last Jam, a piano led four-piece from the Northwest, are best known for their dramatic and energetic live performances. Their musical style ranges from catchy pop through to a darker, fast paced indie-rock.

Since their inception in 2005 they have built up a strong following both online and across the Northwest of England. In Manchester, they have gained a reputation for their indie club night Memory Loss where they have shared the stage with the likes of The Seal Club Clubbing Club, Vinny Peculiar and The Black Velvet Band. The night’s success has more recently attracted interest from Danny McNamara (Embrace) who has offered his club (Moho Live) as the new home for Memory Loss.

Other band highlights to date include: performing for BBC Radio 1's ‘One Big Fringe’ (part of the One Big Weekend event), Unsigned Band of the Month (Web User Magazine), Hayden Insley's top ten single of week (Music Week).

Jelly's Last Jam will be announcing tour dates at the end of January, their next major show is 19th February 2009 at 53 Degrees, Preston.
